WisDems Statement on Shocking Report That Ron Johnson Took Campaign Donations From Pharmaceutical Company He Tried to Block Investigation Into
MADISON, Wis. – In response to a new report, which revealed that Ron Johnson received thousands of dollars in political contributions from a giant pharmaceutical company after he tried blocking an investigation into their role in the opioid epidemic, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:
“Just when we think Ron Johnson couldn’t get worse, we learn he sold out Wisconsinites to a pharmaceutical company that fueled the opioid epidemic – and then collected the cash. It’s clear Ron Johnson will always put his self-serving agenda first, no matter what it costs Wisconsinites.”
