MADISON, Wis. — Less than 24 hours after unveiling a deeply flawed redistricting bill in an effort to distract from his unlawful impeachment threats—while retaining power over redistricting for himself—Robin Vos renewed his threats to impeach Justice Janet Protasiewicz. Speaking to far-right talk show host Jay Weber this morning, Vos announced he was creating a panel of unnamed former Wisconsin Supreme Court justices to investigate impeachment
“After all the chaos and embarrassment of the Gableman investigation to overturn the 2020 election, Robin Vos is doubling down and launching a new secret impeachment investigation to overturn this April’s election,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Joe Oslund. “Yesterday, Robin Vos did his best to distract voters with a sham plan that would give Republican politicians in Madison the power to continue gerrymandering. Today, Vos went right back to his impeachment plot, announcing a new impeachment investigation conducted by investigators Vos refuses to identify. Robin Vos is clearly desperate to maintain his grip on power—and willing to do anything to avoid his extreme partisan gerrymander having its day in court.”
