REMINDER: Eric Hovde Wants To Repeal the Affordable Care Act “in its Entirety”

MADISON, Wis. — Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act being signed into law, which lowered health care costs and protected health care coverage for tens of millions of Americans, including hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites.

California bank owner Eric Hovde has long made one of his top priorities fully repealing the Affordable Care Act, saying he wants to “defund every aspect of the ACA,” that he wants to “repeal it in its entirety,” and there were “no ifs, ands, or buts” about the fact he wanted to repeal it.

He even specifically said he opposes the provisions protecting the over 850,000 Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions and the Tammy Baldwin-led measure that lets people stay on their family health plan until age 26.

“It’s no surprise that an out-of-touch megamillionaire California bank owner wants to rip health care away from hard-working Wisconsinites. We can’t trust Hovde to fight for Wisconsin in the Senate,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk.
